Fryars has been announced as the support act for Blackpool singer-songwriter Rae Morris’s tour next year.
Fryars, aka Benjamin Garrett, features on and produced Rae’s recent single Cold and will head out on the road from Sunday, February 1, when the tour gets under way at Liverpool’s Kazimier.
The 24-year-old will be showcasing the critically accliamed album Power, which he wrote, programmed and produced.
It is described as “a soundtrack to a film that does not exist” and the sixteen tracks are a labour of love linked together by a script, written specifically for the record.
“I want each track to play on a different place and moment in time,” Fryars said. “To take you on that journey without picture.”
The album has taken five years to create, building a story which spans three continents and deals with love, greed, loss and death.
Earlier this year, Fryars supported Lily Allen on tour, after having co-written two tracks on her number one album Sheezus.
The album was produced by Fryars and Luke Smith, with additional production by Rodaidh McDonald (the xx, How to Dress Well, Savages).
The tour also comes to Manchester’s Gorilla, on Friday, February 6.
