Blackpool’s Beat Freekz and Scottish DJ consortium Shaolin Monkeys team their talents for a double stint behind the decks tomorrow.
They will be playing in the Sun Lounge on North Pier from noon until 5pm for the acclaimed Sand Sea & Spray graffiti art event providing hip hop, funk and breakbeat while the artists paint live around them. Admission free.
Then they move over to the Music Hall Tavern (above K2 ) on Church Street opposite The Syndicate from 9pm to 4am with an entrance fee of £2 on the door.
DJs for the day event are Russ B and Kev Fulcher (Beat Freekz) with Shaolin Monkeys turntablists Scott Rogan, Fame, B Fresh and Mr Dee. At night they will be joined by Lee Garry (founder of The Northern Project events).
“We will be celebrating our summer UK/USA tour launch night of Deliverance and the Shaolin Monkeys Fyldestyle event’s first birthday before we jet around the country playing some of the UK’s most popular festivals,” said Russ B. “We are also playing in the USA for two weeks at the end of June.”
The night event welcomes all graffiti artists and attendees from Sand, Sea & Spray
