Fleetwood Folk and Blues Weekend will take place on Friday to Sunday, September 4 to 6.

The main sponsor and venue will be the North Euston Hotel where live music will take place all weekend alongside two concerts in the ballroom.

Fleetwood Museum will also hold events and Farmer James Parr has also provided camping and campervan
facilities for visitors.

Local favourites such as Thistle, Scolds Bridle, Cartoon Food and the Ian Gartside Band will take the stage.

And organisers have also secured Glastonbury success story Ferocious Dog, pictured, and several artists who have lit up the stage at the Great British R & B Festival at Colne on the other side of the county, like Smokehouse Boys, Tom Doughty and The Devil’s Jukebox.

Organiser Rachael Bailey said she had been motivated to pull the event together after the cancellation of Fylde Folk’n’Roots Festival.

“Keeping quality live music available to the community is important,” she said.

“The North West is classed as a musically deprived area.

“The festival has always attracted people from all over the UK and I am pleased to say many have been in touch to say they will support the event.”
