There’s a triple bill of festive performances for the Guardian Concert Band this week.

First up tonight, at Fairhaven Methodist Church, is the band’s Music For Christmas concert, which starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £1 for children, and are available on the door.

On Friday, the band joins forces with Preston Concert Band at St Walburge’s Church, Weston Street, Preston, for a free concert – donations welcome – starting at 7.30pm.

A spokesman said: “It’s been a number of years since we last performed at this very impressive venue and with the two bands together it promises to be a very special event.”

And to finish the week on Saturday, 7pm, they’re at St Annes Parish Church, Church Road, as part of a Family Variety Concert. Entry costs £3, children go free.
