Health workers are aiming to show Simon Cowell what he is missing as they perform at a special charity concert in July.

Members of staff from across Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be heading for a very different type of theatre, when they show off their skills at the Trust’s Got Talent night, at Viva, in Blackpool, on July 5.

Tickets for the fun-packed night, being organised by the trust’s social committee, cost £5 and are available to members of the public.

Among the judges will be trust chief executive, Gary Doherty, and celebrity entertainer Leye D Johns from the Viva Club.

Mr Doherty said: “The trust has held two talent shows previously which have been excellent and it would be great to make this another memorable night.

“We have had a great response from staff with some really talented people taking part.”

The evening will raise funds for the trust’s hospital radio station, Radio Victoria. The host will be BBC Radio Lancashire presenter Steve Royle.
