The X Factor and I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here star Jake Quickenden has been added to the bill for Blackpool Pride.
The singer, who came to fame on the reality shows in the autumn, has become something of a regular in Lancashire, with his romance with I’m A Celeb winner and former Lytham resident Carl Fogarty’s daughter Danielle recently confirmed.
Also on the bill are the previously announced Jedward as well as Britain’s Got Talent finalist Bailey McConnell and Harry Mondryk.
Blackpool Pride will take place across the town on Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, with action centred on the Winter Gardens, where the headline stage and various speciality areas will be.
This is the 10th Pride celebration in the town, and thousands of visitors are expected in town for the party.
Blackpool Pride Festival chairman Shaun Pickup said: “The response to our headliners has been phenomenal and we are really looking forward an amazing event with fantastic entertainment and, of course, a colourful parade along Blackpool’s famous Promenade.”
This year there will be several areas in the Winter Gardens, including a large adult-only area, a women’s area and a family area, plus an outside stage in St John’s Square.
There will also be many commercial, community and charity stalls, all providing you with a range of LGBT merchandise and information.
Making a welcome return to this year’s event are 80s party duo Black Lace and the ever-popular Krankies, and two national Pride festival favourites Allan Jay and Ryan Jagger.
Local female four-piece The Divas will be making their Blackpool Pride debut, among a number of other local acts.
A host of partner bars and venues around the time will also be laying on entertainment during the weekend, with fringe events building up through the week before the main weekend – kicking off with The Pride Ball on Sunday, June 7.
