Ego is about to get a whole lot bigger in Blackpool.

DJ and manager Eddie Gee is moving in to the bar to open a upmarket nightclub upstairs and take over the running of the bar below.

Eddie Gee’s will cater to all tastes, with DJs playing everything from chart and R&B to 70s and 80s classics or funk and disco tunes on Friday and Saturday nights.

Sunday nights at the club, on Market Street, will offer a more chilled approach, with soul and jazz bands coming in for live sessions.

The complex is currently being refurbished ready for an official opening on Friday, April 5.

When the wraps come off the building will also house its own bistro, Quincy’s, serving quality food.

Eddie said: “I’ve always wanted to open a stylish nightclub in Blackpool and now I have done so I’m sure the locals will love what they see.”

The DJ, who plays on Globe Gig Radio online, will be hosting the Sunday soul sessions.

He added: “I look forward to playing top quality soul, jazz funk and disco.”

Local membership cards will be available on request and a limited number of VIP cards will also be available.
