The first wave of artists for Blackpool Rocks winter music festival have been announced.
The dance, urban and R&B festival returns to the Winter Gardens on Saturday, December 19.
Returning to the arena will be Blackpool’s own DJ Danny Howard, a founder of the event, and his Radio 1 colleague Mista Jam.
And making their Blackpool Rocks debuts will be dancehall, garage producer Redlight, RnB urban all-star Lethal Bizzle and deep house duo Blonde.
The festival’s return to the complex, where it was first held in 2013, was announced earlier this week.
Peter Taylor, director of Blackpool Rocks promoters Cuffe and Taylor, said: “There is no doubt Blackpool Rocks is a massively popular event and we want to ensure that everyone who comes has an amazing night.
“We staged the event in Blackpool Tower last year but on reflection it just wasn’t the right venue.
“You don’t know until you try these things but following feedback from our customers, as a company we feel that the Winter Gardens is better suited to Blackpool Rocks and I am delighted to say that is where it will be for 2015.”
The first wave of tickets goes on sale tomorrow at 9am, with pre-registration available now at www.black poolrocks.com.
