Blackpool’s Divas are taking a trip back through musical history with a new show.
On The Radio - Diva Through The Decades comes to cabaret bar Viva Blackpool on Monday nights, from July 6.
Diva formed last year when Diane Lee Carol, Tracey Jordan, Carol Kaye and JoJo Savage joined forces for ‘one night only’ at the Church Street venue.
Their new show will run throughout the season, taking visitors on a ‘magical journey through the decades’, in a show hosted by compere Lionel Vinyl.
On The Radio will feature music from the 1960s to the present day, featuring classic hits from the West End and hit power ballads from the greats.
A Viva spokesman said: “Each individual singer is a well-established, high-achieving artiste in their own right, having travelled the world and supported many stars, including Joe Longthorne, Jim Davidson, Des O’Connor and many more.
“The girls are having the time of their lives singing with their best friends and taking the country by storm performing these classics.
“Now they’re ‘coming home’ to Viva Blackpool for a summer season, and taking their audience through the decades of music.”
Tonight sees another Viva favourite make a return to the venue, as Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown launches a run for 2015.
In his latest show, Roy challenges the audience to ‘ditch the diet, put down the lettuce’ and Don’t Get Fit, Get Fat.
The Viva spokesman added: “This larger than life giant of comedy is back in Blackpool for a series of dates throughout the year.
“Packed with belly-busting jokes, Chubby is Chubby in every sense of the word.”
Billy Pearce will launch the Sunday season with his Laughter Show on Sundays, July 19, August 30 and October 25, while Cannon and Ball with the Harper Brothers present Sunday Night Live on September 13.
