St Annes trio Darlia will be hoping the stars are aligned for success with the release of their latest single later this month.
And they’ve secured a coveted spot on Radio One’s In New Music We Trust play list for this week.
The new track, Stars Are Aligned, is released on Monday, October 27 on B-Unique Records, after a busy summer of live shows and studio time.
And last week, the trio announced they will be supporting former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way on his solo tour next month, kicking off at The Ritz, Manchester, on Wednesday, November 5, with dates also in Oxford, Glasgow and London, among others.
The three-piece played ‘explosive’ sets at Glastonbury, T In The Park and Reading and Leeds festivals, among others, in the UK, as well as making their debut live appearances in Australia.
But just over a year ago, lead singer Nathan Day, bassist Dave Williams and drummer Jack Bentham were working as after-school cleaners at Lytham St Annes High, where they met, and have gone from scrubbing toilets to bona fide pop stars in that time.
Following up their previous releases, Dear Diary and Candyman, Darlia are continuing with the sound that’s seen them secure regular play on Radio 1 and XFM, all of which comes ahead of the debut album release next year.
