The Dynamos, better known as the leading ladies of smash hit musical Mamma Mia!, will make a special guest appearance at Blackpool’s Christmas Lights Switch On.

Helen Hobson, Nadine Cox and Louisa Lydell (Donna, Rosie and Tanya to those who familiar with the show) will perform two songs from the musical ahead of Mamma Mia’s international tour, which comes to Blackpool’s Opera House in June.

It’s a huge coup for the Opera House to get the show – it is the only UK venue outside of London to host the worldwide hit in 2014.

The Dynamos will perform Dancing Queen and The Winner Takes it All at the Christmas Lights Switch-On Show.

Also in the line-up are stars from the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent such as Jai McDowell and Chris Maloney. Coronation Street’s Katy Armstrong and Tom Lister – Emmerdale’s Carl King – will be on stage for the Switch On.

“We are thrilled with the line-up and we think it will be our biggest and best show yet in St John’s Square,” said Eileen Ormand, Blackpool’s Town Centre Manager.

“Everyone knows and loves the songs from Mamma Mia! so the performance from the Dynamos should be great.”

Mamma Mia! is at Blackpool’s Opera House from June 20 to August 31 next year. Ticket prices start at £20 and are available at via Ticketmaster on 0844 847 2517 or Visit Blackpool on (01253) 478222.
