'˜Marvel-lous' sell-out show for comic fans

Comic fans dressed to impress as their favourite heroes at a sold-out convention in Blackpool.

Hundreds of superhero-obsessed children and adults flocked to Comicon in the Paradise Room at the Pleasure Beach on Saturday and Sunday.

Many came dressed as characters from Marvel and DC comic book characters while others favoured heroes from the movies and video games.

The event was a sell-out over the two days with fans coming from all over the UK.

Comic books, games, clothing and merchandise were on sale at the event, which also featured sets from movie hits like Star Wars as well as competitions for the best costume. There was also a kids’ zone with child-friendly games, including Minecraft and Lego and Marvel video games.
