A Blackpool entertainer has spoken of his delight at singing in front of 6,500 people at Wembley.
Liam Halewood was chosen to sing before the judges on the X Factor and although he had the audience on their feet he failed to get picked for the next round.
Undaunted Liam, (pictured below) of Hornby Road, said: “It was a brilliant experience, great fun.
“The judges were very kind and said that Simon did not really like cabaret style acts but they said they would love to come to Blackpool to see me in a show.”
Liam revealed that he had been spotted by an X Factor scouts and had to do an audition at the Galleon in Blackpool before being chosen for the show.
He said: “They do this with some people as they want to have at least some people who can go on stage and sing in front of a huge audience.
“Even so, Wembley was fantastic and I was a little bit nervous.”
“I love reality TV and have queued up six times for the X Factor.”
Liam who is one of the organisers of Blackpool’s Gay Pride festival and sometines performs as drag artiste Tranny Minogue. In the show’s Xtra Factor spin-off he dressed presenter Melvin Odoom up in drag.
