Blackpool singer and songwriter Karima Francis is back on the road with a massive tour and a brand new album.
The Remedy is her follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2009 debut collection , The Author and was produced by Flood (of U2, PJ Harvey, Depeche Mode, Nick Cave fame) and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Amy Winehouse, Rufus Wainwright).
Highlights of the album which is being released later this year include the autobiographical Glory Days, Stay, Remedy and Wherever I Go.
The massive 22-date spring tour, launches in London on March 20 at The Slaughtered Lamb and ends back in the capital at Hoxton Hall on May 17. Karima is joined on tour this spring by guitarist Simon Robbs and bassist Ben Adey.
North West dates May 2: Eric’s in Liverpool. May 3: Manchester’s Night & Day. May 8: Preston’s Mad Ferret.
It’s hoped that a Blackpool appearance will be fitted in for local fans to hear her new material.
