Blackpool entertainer Joe Longthorne is to delay his summer season shows as he recovers from illness.
Instead, The Jerseys are set to headline the weekly Viva Variety show at Viva Blackpool over the coming months.
Joe, who has recently been re-diagnosed with Lymphoma, is currently undergoing treatment which he is responding well to but has been advised by his doctors to rest.
Performing alongside The Jerseys will be Viva’s host and entertainment director Leye D Johns, as well as the cast of Viva Vegas Live and resident magician Michael Jordan.
Leye D Johns said: “Obviously we know some people will be disappointed that Joe isn’t able to start the season as planned but his health, of course, is the priority.
“As Joe has said himself ‘the show must go on’ and with that in mind , The Jerseys, will be headlining Viva Variety to keep everyone entertained while Joe recuperates.
“I’m sure everyone will join us in wishing Joe a speedy recovery.”
