Blonde baritone Rhydian Roberts will be bringing some added X Factor to Grease when he joins the smash hit musical to guest star as Teen Angel for its Blackpool Opera House visit in October.

Once tipped as an X Factor winner he will be hoping to leave audiences hopelessly devoted to his charms when Grease rocks into town from October 17.

For the first time in over five years, the hit West End show is again touring the country right through to 2012.

Danny Bayne stars as Danny with Carina Gillespie as his sweetheart Sandy, in the roles (left) played by John Travolta and Olivia Newton John in the hit 1978 movie.

The cast also includes two performers with Fylde coast roots.

Laura Wilson, (below), who plays Pink Lady Jan, was born in Blackpool, grew up in Fleetwood and attended Cardinal Allen High School, Barbara Jackson School of Dance, Joanna Newson Acting school and the Italia Conti academy.

Sophie Zucchini, who plays Cha Cha, was born in Italy, grew up in Thornton-Cleveleys and went to Elmhurst ballet school from 13, then on to Laine Theatre Arts.

Grease returned to the West End in July 2007 and during its run the audience favourite played over 1,500 performances and was seen by over one and a half million theatre goers at the Piccadilly Theatre where it became the longest running show in the venue’s history.

Grease closed in London on April 30 after a hugely successful four years and immediately began its new tour.
