Central Pier’s record breaking Legends show is going for a hat trick this year.
In addition to its summer season the show is back again for its second Christmas production and, for the first time, will be opening over Easter for three special dates.
With two different summer productions that means four versions of the show for 2012 – featuring a total of 11 tribute acts.
Among this year’s performers will be tributes to Lady Gaga, Jon Bon Jovi and the Blues Brothers making their legends debuts plus the return of Buddy Holly and pop princess Kylie Minogue and a special Christmas appearance of Stars In Their Eyes original series winner Maxine Barrie and her Shirley Bassey tribute.
The three Easter dates are April 6 to 8 showcasing performances from Meat Loaf, Freddie Mercury and Elvis joining Kylie before the summer season on June 14 with Show One featuring Lady Gaga, the Blues Brothers, Robbie Williams and Freddie Mercury.
It’s followed from June 21 by Show Two starring Elvis, Meat Loaf, Jon Bon Jovi and Buddy Holly.
The shows then alternate until Saturday, November 3.
The Christmas edition will feature Shiirley Bassey plus three yet to be confirmed “special guests” followed by a hot buffet and disco.
Producer of Legends, Trevor Chance said: “We are delighted to be back in Blackpool for our 14th year and presenting another amazing line-up of the best performers you can see anywhere.”
Michael Williams, operations director for Central Pier added: “We know that for many people the Blackpool holiday experience just wouldn’t be the same without seeing the fantastic legends shows.”
Tickets for Legends at Easter and the summer season are on sale from tomorrow and for the Christmas Legends from Monday, February 27.
