Fylde-based comedian Phil Walker will be headlining the annual Lancashire Entrepreneurs’ Lunch at the Pleasure Beach later this month.

Phil will be joined by another Blackpool favourite, Grand Theatre pantomime’s Steve Royle as well as Dan Nightingale, John Warburton and Liverpool-based comic Jamie Sutherland for the three-course meal at the Paradise Room on Friday, February 27. Phil (pictured), son of Catchphrase host Roy, promised cutting edge comedy, while former journalist John Warburton combines one-liners, observational comedy and the occasional song in his act.

A drinks reception will be held in the Ice Blast Garden with an opportunity to ride the white-knuckle attraction before dining in Paradise.

And in keeping with the local theme, lunch will include Black Pudding and Lancashire cheese, River Lune trout and Goosnargh chicken.

A spokesman for the Pleasure Beach said: “We have hosted the Lancashire Entrepreneurs’ Lunch for more than a decade and it has become one of the most popular networking events in the calendar. It’s a great opportunity to meet new contacts and catch up the present ones. You will be able to reach a wide range of suppliers from across Lancashire and create new business opportunities.”

Tickets for the event are on sale now priced at £40 per person or £380 for a table of 10.
