Tomorrow’s Grundy Fylde Arts Mid Day Recital at Springfield Methodist Church, the last of the current series, will be given by The Quattromani Piano Duo – Nicholas Oliver and Joan Greenburgh.

Together they will present a programme of works by Czerny, Schubert, Debussy (Petite Suite), and Rimsky-Korsakov (Scheherazade – First movement).

The recital begins at 1pm and admission is £7 (£5 for Fylde Arts members).

Lytham St Annes Music Circle’s concert tomorrow features the distinguished Wu String Quartet.

Last year the Wu Quartet reached the semi-finals at the prestigious Beijing International String Quartet competition and recently became only the second British based string quartet to be selected for the European Chamber Music Academy where they will perform and attend master-classes across Europe.

They have performed in London at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, King’s Place, St Martin’s in the Fields and St John’s Smith Square; Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh; and at the Paris Conservatoire and Convento di San Salvatore in Florence.

They have appeared on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and pursued further studies with members of the Alban Berg, Talich and Lindsay Quartets.

They will perform quartets by Mozart, Schubert and Smetana at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School, Lytham at 7.30pm. Tickets £9 adults, free for school students.
