Top comedy club Jongleurs is the latest major signing for Fleetwood Marine Hall. Hot on the heels of comedian Dave Spikey being confirmed for the venue, Jongleurs Comedy On the Road has been snapped up for four dates from May to October.
The UK’s number one comedy club and leading presenter of live comedy in Britain for more than 20 years is well known for having launched the careers of some of the UK’s best loved comedy talent including Jack Dee, Paul Merton (headlining at Blackpool Grand Theatre on Sunday night) and Rory Bremner.
The Marine Hall is opening for pre-show meals and joining forces with Fleetwood’s North Euston Hotel to create a discounted package that includes bed and breakfast accommodation if required.
“This is a major coup not only for Fylde coast but for the North West and Lancashire,” said Marine Hall general manager Chris Wahne. “The famed Jongleurs comedy nights are more usually presented in major towns and cities such as Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham, Portsmouth and Southampton. At last, more and more of Britain’s best acts are realising just how great the audiences are here.
“Jongleurs and the Marine Hall see the arrangement as a partnership that both are hoping to build on, starting with these four dates.”
The evenings will staged in a cabaret setting with all seats available for reservation. The dates are May 31, August 23, September 27 and October 26. All shows start at 8pm and seats can be booked now at £12.
