Award winning Birmingham comedian James Cook makes his third appearance at the now Blackpool-based Comedy Station tomorrow.
James (right) has recently returned to the comedy circuit full time after seven years as an award-winning commercial radio presenter.
His act mixes jokes and sarcasm with a quick wit and excellent improvisation skills and he is one third of the News With Jokes podcast that was named one of the Top 10 funniest in The Guardian.
His act has been described as “truly original” and a “sarcastic raconteur” which has resulted in him being likened to “the future Frank Skinner” and “Dylan Moran’s younger brother.”
James won a Jongleurs/Spike Milligan award for Stand-up in 2003. He’s been on stage with A-ha, presented Lenny Henry with his Walk Of Fame Star and been a guest judge on the Dancing On Ice tour at the Nottingham Arena in front of 10,000 people. His two previous Comedy Station visits saw him close the show to great acclaim at The Edge in Poulton.
Support comes from Andy Watson and other guests. The compere as usual is Ryan Gleeson.
The Comedy station meets in the Winter Gardens Theatre Bar, Church Street, Blackpool.
Admission is £5.
Open 8pm, show starts at 8.45pm. More details from (0844) 856 1111.
