The Thatched House in Poulton is heading north of the border (no, it’s not moving to Knott End!) from Monday.
The popular pub will be celebrating Burns Week with four real ales from Scotland’s Inveralmond Brewery of Perth – a former national champion of the Small Independent Brewery Association.
The beers available will be Ossian, Independence, Lia Fail and Thrappledouser.
The Ball Street pub will also be celebrating Burns Night itself – albeit a day after the official date.
Its fourth annual celebration of Scotland’s most famous son takes place on Thursday when there will be haggis and neeps for all, a Scottish fiddler and accordion players, a Highland piper and even a wee dram, if you’re lucky.
Landlord Vin Hamer said: “We are encouraging people to wear something tartan and get in the spirit.”
But Bay City Roller outfits are not recommended.
It’s all free and the fun starts from 7pm.
