Blackpool Winter Gardens is to stage another new music festival – featuring a host of tribute and other acts over a nine-day period.
Hot on the heels of December’s massive One of These Days: A Festival of Festivals, comes Blackpool Live which will run from Thursday September 13 to Friday September 21.
The Arena, part of the Winter Gardens complex, will host a different concert every night showcasing a variety of musical styles including some of the country’s best pop and rock tributes, plus jazz, blues and classic Las Vegas style crooning.
Each concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 each per concert.
The line-up of concerts is The Smiths Ltd (September 13), The Gershwin Gang (September 14), The Jam’d & Complete Weller (September 15), The Shakers Blues Band (September 16); Absolute Bowie (September 17); The Crooner (September 18), Ben: A Tribute To Michael Jackson (September 19), Definitely Mightbe Oasis tribute (September 20) and The Clone Roses (September 21).
“This series of concerts is designed to introduce the Winter Gardens to a new audience and encourage others to return,” said Winter Gardens marketing manager David Gore. “There’s a wide range of musical styles so there should be something for everyone and at just £10 a ticket it’s great value in these difficult times. We’ve also got an offer of three shows for £20 so hopefully we’ll get visitors staying over in Blackpool for an extra night too and that helps everyone in the town.”
