Two talented artists stepped up to the plate at Viva Blackpool to win the chance to become support acts for X-Factor runner-up, Rebecca Ferguson, when she appears at the venue today.

Jess Harwood, 23, is a Blackpool-based singer-songwriter, who taught herself to play the acoustic guitar at 17, and the piano at the age of 18.

Steph Ball, from Manchester, describes herself as a singer-songwriter influenced by artists such as Taylor Swift, Jack Johnson and Kelly Clarkson.

Both singers won their once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at auditions held at the church street venue .

Viva Blackpool’s Martin Heywood said: “Sunday promises to be a fabulous evening that will showcase both established and up-and-coming talent.”
