One of the first men on the moon, former Nasa astronaut Buzz Aldrin, will be telling the greatest tales of his life at a Lancashire book signing.
Organised by Kirkham’s own Elaine Silverwood, the event will see the pilot of Apollo 11, the first manned spaceflight to land on the moon, talk about being one of the first two people to walk on its surface.
And Elaine, who owns Book, Bean and Ice Cream book store in Kirkham said: “It will be an incredible privilege to meet one of the biggest legends of modern history.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Buzz Aldrin coming to the event. He’s coming all the way from America and he’s only doing a couple more signings, with those being down south. He’s only here for four days, so it’s a real privilege.
“The response for tickets has been incredible.
So many people are really excited about seeing him because it’s such a unique opportunity.
