YOUNG ballet dancers got top dancing tips as they trained with professionals before putting on a sterling show for their parents.
Children in Years Four and Five at local primary schools went along to Bispham High School for a master class with the Royal Ballet School.
The Primary Steps scheme has been running at the Bispham Road school for the last four years, and saw youngsters choreographing a dance to celebrate the Chinese New Year during the half term holiday.
The master class was led by Anna Daly, from the Royal Ballet and Access Partnership team.
Deputy headteacher John Topping said: “It was fantastic.
“The theme was Chinese dragons and fire crackers.
“Primary Steps opens up an immense range of opportunities for our young people, and some of these children come every week to our school to learn ballet in Primary Steps workshops.
“We are proud to be continuing our affiliation with the Royal Ballet School.”
The group spent three days preparing for their performance, which took place on Friday.
