A new start for St Michael's Gala parade

There may be a slight change in starting venue to the this year's St Michael's on Wyre Gala but organisers are promising another lively event to bring the village together this weekend.

St Michaels on Wyre queen elect Lucy Phillips.

The annual parade has traditionally started from the village hall but this year will set from St Michael’s on Wyre CE Primary School in Hall Lane

Lucy Phillips is set to be crowned this St Michael’s Rose Queen. Lucy and her Retinue will lead the procession through the village at 1pm, on Saturday June 18, followed by the crowning ceremony at 2pm

The afternoon will be full of activities, music, refreshments and entertainment and is open to all visitors. Ride on the rodeo bull, bouncy slide, hook a duck, sports races, tombola, BBQ, face painting, and lots more. Fancy dress entrants all welcome to turn up on the day.
