Marisha's spine tingling rendition of "And I Am Telling You..." from the musical Dreamgirls received a standing ovation on Lytham Green and the West End and Broadway star said she was thrilled to be returning to Lancashire with her very own show.

Marisha, who started out singing as a youngster at her home church in North Carolina, will be on television tonight for the screening of the 2020 Royal Variety Performance. This year's show was filmed form the stage of Blackpool Opera House.

Speaking on a return to the Fylde coast Marisha said: "Lytham will always have a special place in my heart. I loved performing at Lytham Festival in 2019 - it was a truly magical day, and it

will be amazing to return to this beautiful town with my very own show."

Marisha will perform one-night only at Lytham's Lowther Pavilion on Wednesday October 6 2021. The tour announcement follows the release of Marisha's new album

'Tomorrow', named BBC Radio 2 album of the week.

Having suffered Covid-19 herself earlier this year, Marisha spent her recovery putting together a self-recorded version of the classic anthem of hope 'Tomorrow' from Annie to raise

funds for those in the theatre industry affected by lockdown.

She independently released the track, which ended up on the BBC Radio 2 playlist and landed the Number two spot on the download charts.

Now, with the support of Decca Records and an album packed with songs full of hope Marisha is a force to be reckoned with.

Her Decca debut includes duets with Michael Ball and 'Alive' (written by Adele and Sia) and a wealth of strong female representation, with all original tracks written by women. 'Free' is written by JinJin (Little Mix, Paloma Faith), 'Divine' by Camille Purcell (Jess Glynne, Little Mix) and 'Faith' by Natasha Bedingfield.

In her professional theatre career Marisha has starred in smash-hit stage shows as Dreamgirls, Waitress, Aladdin and The Book of Mormon.
