MIllie B 'embraces' second time success of viral track 'M to the B'

Blackpool grime artist Mille B made a surprise return to the spotlight after her track “M to the B” achieved TikTok fame late last year.

But the infamous rap-song, recorded in a Blackpool branch of KFC in 2016, is continuing to set charts alight with Sony Music revealing the global hit is garnering 75,000 streams a day on platform Spotify.

And since its re-release has achieved 23,000 in record sales.

Asked by her fans and followers on Tik Tok mum-of-one Millie, real name Millie Bracewell, says she has ‘come to embrace’ the track in recent times and see the positives, having regretted its original release.

She said: “I used to wish I had never did it - mainly because of me going out the house and not be able to go places without being noticed.

“Now I just embrace it.”

Millie B, 20, became a household name as a teenage rapper, who rose to prominence as a member of grime YouTube music channel BGMedia alongside the likes of Little T and Afghan Dan.

The members all featured on Channel 4 documentary series ‘It’s Grime Up North.’

Millie B’s single ‘M to the B’, a diss track aimed at grime rival act Sophie Aspen, now 19, exploded on TikTok after American influencer Bella Poarch,20, used the track in a video which has since become the most watched and liked TikTok creation ever with more than 470.1 million views.

The single is now a worldwide sensation with nearly 25 million streams.

The tracked reached number on Spotify UK, Finland and Norway,and the number one position in the UK Viral Spotify Chart.

It has recently featured as a song for online video game Fortnite.

Millie B features on the most recent episode of WWE UK online series The Bump on Facebook with WWE star and fellow Blackpool native Sam Gradwell discussing their fame.

And she is promising to make a return to the music scene for 2021.
