Holiday centres offer free annual site fees to lucky winners while raising cash for charity

A holiday parks business has been doing its bit for the community by donating food, bedding and cash to local causes.

Partington’s Holiday Centres, which has parks across the north west including in Fleetwood, Blackpool and Hambleton, held virtual entertainment evenings as a fundraiser, with customers

who bought tickets given the chance to win their annual site fees for the following year.

Jane Molyneux, marketing director at Partington’s, said: “We are always trying to help the community wherever possible and this year was no exception.

“We helped by donating food and bedding as well as making financial donations.

“Our team members have been busy the last few weeks donating essential food items for local charities.

“Partington’s have also donated all the cleaned hire fleet bedding to local homeless charities.

“Donations like ours offer support to families and individuals in Blackpool and the surrounding areas who find themselves in financial crisis.”

Staff and customers also donated £4,670 to Brian House Children’s Hospice following their ‘Yellow Nights’.

The yellow-themed evening is held every year for park customers and features entertainment.

Jane added: “The customers buy tickets for a chance to win their annual site fees for the following year.

“All their ticket money goes straight to Brian House and the company gives a free annual site fee to the winner.

“This year the evening was held virtually.

“Over the last 10 years we’ve donated over £130,000 to Brian House Children’s Hospice.

“Supporting our local community is so important, especially during such challenging and unprecedented times we currently live in.”

Other charities the business has supported include Blackpool’s Voice, Blackpool Food Bank, Streetlife and Doherty’s Destiny, which supports young people with mental health issues.
