Dancing in the Streets is widely hailed as one of the definitive tribute shows and has been touring the UK for 10 years.

Clearly the cast is doing something very right.

It follows Big Girls Don’t Cry at the same venue tomorrow night and Islands in the Stream (Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers tribute) is there on Saturday.

If that’s not enough, Mercury’s rising across Blackpool this weekend with Killer Queen (one of the best of the copycat Queen bands) out to rock you at the Opera House on Saturday.

Kings and Queen of Rock, Pop and Roll at Central Pier tonight and Sunday feature the music of Mercury again, Presley and Jackson. That’s three tributes for the cost of one ticket .

But Dancing in the Streets will make you stop counting. It features stunning interpretations of Motown’s finest chart toppers such as The Four Tops, Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Supremes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie .. need we go on?

What’s more, they’re all dressed to impress so there’s a spectacle of colour, and assault on the senses.

A huge cast of talented and incredibly versatile singers - and dancers - take to the stage of the dowager theatre to get the audience rocking in the aisles long before they dance through the street back to the car park.

And it’s worth noting that Motown’s pioneers didn’t just change pop history, they changed social history - by calling right around the world.

Tickets are available from blackpoolgrand.co.uk or by calling 01253 290190.
