Grandmother-of-three Anne has been diagnosed with breast cancer, exactly 20 years on from her first battle with the disease.

Linda, was first diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2006. She went into remission only for the cancer to return in her pelvis in 2017 and told it was incurable.

She has now been diagnosed with liver cancer after a recent scan showed signs of disease, and has moved in with sister Denise, who also lives in the Fylde for support while undergoing treatment.

The sisters will both have six rounds of the treatment in total.

Determined in her latest fight with the disease Linda said: “There's life in this girl yet. As long as the treatment is there and I can have it and I respond well to it I might be around for another 15, 20 years, hopefully.

“By that time I’ll be an old woman. I’ll be 75 in 15 years, and I would’ve had a great life.

“So that’s why I’m again, for the third time, going to give it everything I’ve got.”
