Finally a view again from the top of one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks and as visitors queue for a ride up the world famous 518 feet and 9 inches tall Blackpool Tower.

The Gazette were invited to take a tour around one of the resort's most beloved attractions and an inside look at the new operation for visitors hoping to make new memories this summer.

Guests are now invited to pre-book their visits to the Tower Eye, Sealife Centre and Madame Tussauds, which are operating on a time slot system to control visitor numbers.

The Tower has been fitted with new hand sanitation stations throughout and there are screening boards at the service desks. Staff have also been supplied with PPE equipment for added safety and temperatures taken on arrival at work.

Blackpool Tower general manager Kenny Mew says the opening weekend was one of positivity in spite of the weather not being on side and staff were eager to be back welcoming guests.
