Tomorrow’s Lytham St Annes Music Circle’s concert features the distinguished international Swiss-Chinese pianist Louis Schwizgebel-Wang.

Louis began studying the piano at age six, studied at the Lausanne Conservatoire, is currently pursuing musical studies in Berlin and has recently been awarded a scholarship to study at the Julliard in New York.

Since giving his first concert aged nine he has been awarded various piano prizes in Switzerland, played in France, Canada and Poland and toured China with the Basel Symphony Orchestra and major Swiss cities with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. In the UK he has performed at the Wigmore Hall and in Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff. In 2007 Louis made his debut in New York at Carnegie’s Zankel Hall and in Washington DC at the Kennedy Centre.

Louis will perform sonatas by Haydn and Schubert, Schubert Lieder transcriptions by Liszt and Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit. His recital takes place in the Hall at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School, Lytham at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £9 for adults and free for school students and can be obtained from Plackitt & Booth’s Book Shop in Lytham, the Violin Shop in Blackpool and on the door.
