A new dance night arrives

Have your say

* GET your clubbing gear on - a new dance night kicks off tonight in Blackpool.

Since the Syndicate closed, there haven’t been a lot of specialist dance music events - which is exactly the reason Jitterbug has been launched.

Held at Nellie Dean’s, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK, Andy Rise, Matt Swales, Phil Ronayne, Coopsey and Olly Byrne will be DJing.

The music is house, electro and trance. It starts at 10pm and lasts till 4. £2 donation on the door.

* POP star from the 90s Tameka Jackson, as well as singer songwriter Laura Catlow, international drag queen Kitty Litter, Sara Cheston and Liam Halewood, are performing at The Galleon Bar tonight, a fundraiser for the 2013 Blackpool Pride Festival. The show starts at 8pm.

* THE Skampa String Quartet are joined on stage by folk ensemble Bardolino in the Great Hall at LICA at Lancaster University tonight (7.30pm). Further information on 01524 594151.
