Schoolboy performer Ryan Wilkinson is back on screens in a festive children’s TV special this week.
Ryan, from Fleetwood, will be back on screens for CBBC’s All At Sea Christmas special on Thursday.
The Cardinal Allen Catholic High School pupil returns as the show’s lead character Charlie, and is once again in trouble.
After running up a huge bill downloading movies on his mum’s phone, Charlie sets to making some money back – so he can give his family the celebration they deserve – and goes into business as Santa Claus setting up a grotto on the shopping mall.
“But can he avoid the anger of local parents and disappointed children?” a show spokesman said.
Fifteen-year-old Ryan is represented by Scream Management and attends Scream Theatre School classes in Blackpool, where he was spotted aged just 11, when he’s not busy filming on location in Scarborough for All At Sea.
Before landing the role in All At Sea, Ryan appeared in series Shameless on Channel 4 and Doctors for BBC.
He’s recently been filming for another popular CBBC series The Dumping Gound, a drama revolving around the lives of children in care and their carers, and the new series of Jimmy McGovern drama Moving On in which he plays Leo – both of which are due to screen in the new year.
His agent Jessica Bell, from Scream Management, said: “Ryan is such a pro-active, hard-working and enthusiastic young actor and I am so proud of what he has achieved so far.
“He is such a determined and driven young lad a real breath fresh air to work with.”
Last year Ryan was nominated for the best performance in a comedy award in the glittering the North West RTS Awards for his All At Sea character – up against four adult performers in the category, although he missed out on the title.
Fellow Scream client Olivia Cosgrove, who attends their Media City, Salford, branch, is also a regular in the show as Milly Zero, and the agency regularly supplies actors for extra and cameo roles in the show.
