Trickett treat for Lytham as Blackpool are humbled

LYTHAM St Annes ladies’ hockey team overwhelmed Blackpool, enhancing their position at the top of the table with a commanding 7-1 win.

However, it was Blackpool, who drew first blood, as a well-worked pass from Stacey Garside found Laura Berry, who scored.

Lytham quickly re-grouped and, though Sandra Wood made some fine saves it was inevitable that Lytham’s constant pressure would reap rewards.
