Tag teams lead the way in race to Spar Lancashire Youth Games
Last week Wyre and Fylde schools took part in tag rugby qualifying events, and AllStars was invited along to the Year 5 and 6 competition at AKS school.
Fourteen primary school teams took part, split into three groups playing on six pitches.

The teams progressed to a play-off depending on where they finished in their group, and the event ended with a close final between Ribby With Wrea and AKS.
And it was hosts AKS who won through to represent Fylde in the Spar Lancashire Youth Games at Blackpool’s Stanley Park.
They will be joined by Shakespeare School from Fleetwood, who won the equivalent Wyre event. The matches were refereed by students from Carr Hill High School Sixth Form and Ian Cameron from Fleetwood Rugby Club.
