The match against old foes will have a special significance for Fylde player-coach Paul Arnold.

They are changing their name from Moseley to Birmingham-Moseley as of June 1.

The fixture against a side who plied their trade in the Championship in the 2015-16 campaign is the start of four attractive home fixtures in the opening six weeks, with matches against Blackheath, Esher and Plymouth Albion.

There will be a three-week Christmas break: Fylde’s final home match of 2016 will be against Macclesfield on December 17. They will not have another match until January 7 away to Blackheath.

There will be a testing end of January with a trip to Esher followed a week later with an overnight journey to take on Plymouth Albion.
