Winger Ben Rath has been called into the Fylde side side for the visit of Loughborough Students on Saturday - he takes over from Warren Spragg, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury but should be fit next week.
The clash could mark the return to the second row of Gareth Gore.
Fylde are hoping that he will be passed fit to play after a bout of concussion suffered in the recent clash with Worthing Raiders.
Coach Mark Nelson said: “Gareth needs to take and pass a cognitive test before he is able to play.”
A cognitive test examines the mental processes of a player following a head injury.
If Gore is fit, Robinson will revert to the back row, replacing Steve McGinnis.
Fylde are expecting a big test from Loughborough.
Nelson said: “Loughborough beat us at their place earlier in the season. They are extremely fit and well organised. They are effectively a full-time team and have always been very competitive.”
Fylde: Viney; Rath, C Briers, S Briers, Brennand; Johnson, De La Harpe; Birchall, Rylance, Lewis, Gore, Arnold, Vernon, Robinson, Beaumont; Replacements: Burtonwood, Griffiths, Thompsn, Dorrington, Barrow.
