Fylde top of the league

The ‘Fylde Fiesta’ produced a feat of rugby league yesterday.

Fylde RFC’s Woodlands ground was the venue for the British Amateur Rugby League Association National Cup final.

The showpiece occasion in the amateur RL proved a classic in which firm favourites Sharlston Rovers were pushed all the way by Wibsey Warriors before sealing victory with a stoppage-time drop goal.
