Lytham teen aims for prized place
She will take part in final qualifying for the Ricoh British Open Championship, which gets under way at Carnoustie next Thursday.
Emily is one of 88 golfers – 60 of them professionals, in Monday’s field for the final 18 holes.

Hide AdThe Royal Lytham amateur successfully won through pre-qualifying at The Berkshire. She as did fellow Lancashire player Nikki Foster (Pleasington).
Both had level par rounds of 72 there to finish joint-tenth.
Seventeen places for Carnoustie will be up for grabs at nearby Panmure.
Just as in the men’s Open, there is a Silver Medal for the leading amateur at the Ricoh Women’s British Open, who also wins the Smyth Salver.
