England were in a strong position going into the final day on Friday of the Girls Home Internationals at St Annes Old Links Golf Club.

They maintained their unbeaten record on day two, but had to come from behind to see off Scotland.

They lost the Thursday morning foursomes, but stormed back in the afternoon with five singles victories.

Ultimately they beat Scotland 5.5-3.5

In Thursday’s other match, Ireland fought out a 4.5-4.5 draw with Wales.

England took on Ireland on Friday and were expected to finish off the job.

The other match on Friday saw Wales play Scotland.
