ST ANNES Old Links professional Daniel Webster believes golf coaching and custom fitting can be taken to a new level by the arrival of a new ‘gadget’.
It’s a start-of-the-art virtual golf launch monitor.
Webster says that the equipment – used by players of the calibre of Ian Poulter – will allow him to give clients the most accurate club fitting information available.
This system has only recently been installed, yet already several of Webster’s clients have experienced what it feels like to simulate driving the famous 10th green at the Belfry Brabazon course, and playing the testing par three on the seventh at Pebble Beach, California.
Webster said: “I have been coaching golfers for more than 18 years, and have never seen anything create as much interest and excitement as this.
“I now have the golf market’s leading launch monitor and simulation software so you can work on any aspect of your game, and play on some of the worlds best courses without even leaving our studio.
“We have the only facility in the North West that can provide this kind of experience with tour-proven accuracy and impressive simulation software”
“I can help golfers find the exact specification of equipment to suit their game, and they can try it immediately in a real-life situation”
So far, the Belfry Brabazon, Pebble Beach, Turnberry, Spyglass in America and La Tempete in France courses are all available in the Golf Studio with more courses being added throughout the year.
Webster is even hoping he can add the exclusive home of the Masters, Augusta in the not-too-distant future.
Coaching sessions start at £40 per hour.
