Skipper Jimmy Ryan struck the winner in stoppage time to earn Blackpool their first home win in over five months.

Attention now turns to this weekend where the Seasiders host Southend United while Fleetwood travel to Charlton.

As always, there is plenty to discuss off the field at Blackpool.

Valeri Belokon issued a statement on Monday addressing his EFL suspension, which the EFL responded to last night.

Owen Oyston, meanwhile, enjoyed a rare victory in court - albeit a small one - as an injunction stopping bailiffs from seizing assets was renewed.

It is also not long until Blackpool fans are due to meet with the EFL, which takes place next Tuesday.

The web chat will be starting at 12pm on The Gazette’s Facebook page.
