The Premier League's top goalscorer will be taking a keen interest in tomorrow's Fylde coast derby

Jamie Vardy, who last week equalled Ruud Van Nistelroy's record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League games, found the net last time the two sides met. That FA Cup goal put the striker in the national spotlight - Vardy moving from Fleetwood to Leicester for a £1 fee six months later. And the England hit man is hoping to check on how Town's derby date has gone as soon as he's done trying to find a way past Manchester United.“I’m hoping Saturday’s result against Blackpool is different to what it was in the Cup a few years back", Vardy told the club's official website

“As soon as we finish our games on a Saturday we get the scores up on the big screens and I always check for Fleetwood’s results.

“My time at Fleetwood was the start of things to come for me and the club, because they’re enjoying life in League One now - promotions through the divisions was something I always expected the club to achieve."
