UPDATE: Blackpool v Charlton called off

Blackpool's game against Charlton Athletic has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

An initial inspection took place at 1.30pm but the officials were unable to come to a decision.

A second inspection took place at 2pm and, despite both sets of players wanting to play, referee Carl Boyeson deemed the pitch unplayable.

It comes after heavy rainfall overnight.

The referee is unhappy with a couple of wet areas where the ball wouldn't bounce.

Tributes to Jimmy Armfield were due to be held at Bloomfield Road prior to kick off.

Blackpool Supporters' Trust will still be holding their own tribute at Jimmy's statue outside.
