Fleetwood Town have made Aberdeen’s young hotshot Declan McManus their first major summer capture.
20-year-old McManus rejected a new contract at Pittodrie and is understood to have agreed terms at Highbury.
He will formally put pen to paper when the transfer window opens on June 10.
McManus spent last season on loan at Scottish League One side Morton where he scored 23 goals and picked up the divisions player of the year award.
He has been capped twice at under-21 level for Scotland.
The striker is understood to have been a target for a number of Scottish Premier League clubs.
The Gazette understands Fleetwood will not have to pay compensation to The Dons as part of the deal.
