Fleetwood Town have slashed season ticket prices for the 2013-14 season.

Fans buying early can watch the club’s second Football League season for just £179.50, just £7.50 per game.

Reduced rate season tickets in the Highbury and Parkside stands will be £189.50 - a reduction of more than £60 on last season.

Season tickets for under 18s and seniors start from £94.50.

The early bird offer runs until June 28 after which prices will rise to £250 for the Memorial Stand, £280 for the Highbury Stand and £300 for the Parkside.

The club is also offering under 16s free matchday tickets when purchased in advance.

Chairman Andy Pilley admitted the loss-leading strategy was aimed at boosting Highbury crowds.

He said: “We want to boost our gates significantly.

“It’s unheard of for a Football League club to slash their prices by up to 40 or 50 per cent.

“We want to expand our home gates to 3,500 or 4,000 and there’s no reason we can’t do that.”
