He said: "Kyle Vassell has been terrific for us ever since he arrived."I think people forget how young he is."He is a handful and we saw that against Exeter."He provides us with a presence up front."He took his goal well because he had a long time to think about it."To be fair to their goalie he made a hell of an attempt and it seemed to take an eternity before it went in."It was a great bit of link-up play between him and Colin Daniel."

Blackpool's other goal came courtesy of a Troy Brown own goal.

Tom Aldred was voted Blackpool's man of the match

He said: "We defended really well and in the end we have got over the line quite comfortably."You want to start in a way that sets you up and there is a lot more to come."Even in the weather we had high energy levels and sheer determination."Exeter have been in the league for a long time. They know how to win games and we knew it was not going to be easy."To win 2-0 against a team like Exeter does set a bench-mark."
